Abstract Submission

The Scientific Committee welcomes all delegates to submit their abstracts of original work to be considered for oral and/or poster presentation at the 20th Annual Meeting of the Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (ASCVTS). The deadline for abstract submission is December 1st, 2011, and acceptance notification will be sent by December 31st, 2011. ONLY presenting authors who have registered and paid by January 20th, 2012 will be added in the program.

Submission of Abstract

1. All abstracts must be submitted through this email address scientific@ascvtsbali2012.org.
2. The abstract must contain original materials, not published or presented at any other international congress prior to the ASCVTS 2012.
3. All abstracts must be typed in English and submitted in form of Microsoft Word along with the PDF file, limited to 300 words.
4. The text should be single spaced and written using Times New Roman font in point size 12.
5. The abstract must consist of four paragraphs: the problem and purpose of study (OBJECTIVE), how the study was performed (METHODS), main findings with numerical and statistical data (RESULTS), and principal conclusion (CONCLUSIONS).
6. The title of the abstract should be printed in capital letters; the name(s) of the author(s) should be preceded by the initials. There should be no more than 8 authors.
7. The author(s) must also type in the category of the study on the top-left of the abstract; choose one of the following: Adult Cardiac Surgery, Pediatric & Congenital Heart Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Cardiovascular Anesthesia and Perfusion, or Cardiac Nursing.
8. Presenting authors are encouraged to submit their CVs at the end of the abstract submission process.
9. The confirmation of acceptance will be sent to the author via submitted E-mail and will be announced in the congress website.
