Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am very pleased to extend you a warm invitation to the spectacular Bali to participate in The 20th Annual Meeting of The Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (ASCVTS). The meeting will take place in Nusa Dua – Bali, Indonesia on March 8 – 11, 2012.

In the era of modern technology, we must always be conscious of the latest development in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. New devices and concepts are being introduced around the clock all around the world, forcing us to keep up every minute and adapt our practice accordingly. Thus we decide on the theme "Latest Challenges and Opportunities in Asia" to focus on current advancements in our field.

We have prepared an intensive range of topics to be presented in plenary sessions and symposiums which I am sure you will find intriguing. There will also be a trade exhibition on latest medical equipment and pharmaceutical products in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Another opportunity you cannot afford to miss here is the one-day postgraduate course organized and conducted by the American Association for Thoracic Society (AATS) during the meeting. To share your ideas with fellow surgeons across Asia, we kindly invite you to submit your abstract of original work for oral and/or poster presentations.

More reasons to come to this meeting, we also offer you the world-known scenery of Bali, the tropical 'Island of Gods', with various recreational and cultural attractions. This meeting will include an extensive range of social programs, from exquisite sunset dinner to exotic Indonesian cultural show.
